Here's something we never actually thought we'd hear: Likely GOP presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, hasbeen offered a Saturday Night Live hosting gig by executive producer and head honcho Lorne Michaels himself. Seems like a weird fit, but apparently, there is some method to this madness. The Hollywood Reporter writes:
While SNL has had fun portraying the drawn out Republican race as circus-like, the staff acknowledges it has been difficult to rival 2008 and Tina Fey's popular turn as Sarah Palin. Having the real Romney could open up new possibilities to a race that, from a comedic standpoint, risks growing stale.
Romney is reportedly considering the offer. Would you watch a Romney-hosted episode of SNL?
