This is true romance.
People usually think about IKEA long after the honeymoon is over, but a couple scrambled the order of operations by getting married at an IKEA in College Park, Md., last week. Some might find it strange, but Julie Rodgers and Willie Pittman wanted to make it official at the destination of their first date back in 2010.
Anyway, IKEA’s renowned Swedish meatballs were served at the wedding reception. It was the first ever wedding at the store, and a College Park store official said they’d entertain similar requests.
We assume Rodgers and Pittman also selected the location to give anyone who showed up to the wedding empty handed a last-minute chance to buy a wedding gift.
