It took Instagram, the popular photo sharing app which until yesterday was only available for Apple's iOS, a little over two years to hit 25 million users. When it finally became available for Android phones yesterday, it took less than 24 hours for one million new users to sign up. Thirsy, are we?
The Andrid version of the app was teased at this year's SXSW conference with no release date given. A sign-up page was set up that allowed Android users to input their info in order to be informed when the app would be ready. According to the company 430,000 people signed up. We guess the other 570,000 were just waiting in the wings.
