Every time we watch Family Guy, we can't help but imagine what it'd be like to visit the town of Quahog. We could grab a Pawtucket Patriot down at the Drunken Clam, have a wrestle with Greased-Up Deaf Guy, get gently assaulted by Herbert—oh, the possibilities.

Now that Family Guy Online is open to player registration, our dreams may actually come true. Billed as an "MMLOL", it features a fleshed-out, 3D Quahog to adventure in. You'll create characters based on classes that resemble the Griffins, and writers from the show are on board to make sure everything feels authentic.

Fox has teamed up with Roadhouse Interactive and their network of partners, which includes lead developers A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games, digital art and animation group Mindwalk Studios, and Sleepy Giant Entertainment, an independent game operations management company. They promise that Quahog will continue to develop and evolve long after the game's release, so there could be plenty to keep you coming back.

Family Guy Online is free-to-play, and it's on the Unity platform, so it's playable directly from your browser. Head to the official site to sign up; “Keys to Quahog” will be sent out on a first come basis, and the first Keys will go out on Tuesday, April 17th.

Check out the video above and let us know what you think of the premise in the comments or on Twitter, and watch out later for our interview with the developers.
