HBO has already picked up Veep and Girls for a second season after only a handful of episodes, according to Deadline. Both shows' second seasons will be the standard HBO length of 10 episodes. Veep brought in 1.4 million viewers in its debut episode earlier in the month, while Girls had about 872,000. However, Veep's lead-in was Game of Thrones, which gave the show a decided advantage.
Both shows have been generating great word-of-mouth and buzz since their respective debuts, and they further prove that HBO's original programming is some of the best available on TV. We'll keep you updated on any further developments about the second seasons of both shows.
