A case of the runs caused 29-year-old Barnard Cato to sprint away from the scene of a car accident, despite being under suspicion of DUI. Cato told police that he sprinted to the nearest toilet after unknowingly crashing his car into another car and newspaper stand earlier this week because he didn't want to crap his pants.

"I had the runs, I had to go,"  he allegedly said.

A few minutes later, police found Cato at a Walmart not too far away with the "strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath and clothing," and the equally incriminating "bloodshot and watery" eyes. Cato also refused a breathalyzer test.

He was charged with driving under the influence, hit and run and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury. His decision to flee for a moment was definitely the right thing to do at the wrong time, but none of the parties involved wanted to experience a shitty ride back to the police station.
