According to Bloomberg, Apple head Tim Cook was the world’s highest-paid CEO in 2011, taking home an insane $378 million. Much of that came via a one-time stock award of $376.2 million, and he netted an additional $1.8 million in bonuses. Though his actual salary before bonuses is unknown, Cook looks to be taking the Steve Jobs approach of a one-dollar salary in exchange for stock options. Regardless, he more or less deserves everything he earned. After all, Apple has around $100 billion in cash just sitting around.
