What's the last thing that a dude with 10 kids and 2 more on the way wants to hear? That he's about to lose his house. That's the reality for Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who's being sued by the Bank of New York for allegedly falling behind on $105,381 in mortgage payments on the home he bought in his hometown of Tallahassee, Fla. back in 2006.
Cromartie reportedly bought the 864 square-foot place for $135,000, and his mother co-signed on it after he was picked in the 2006 NFL Draft. For whatever reason, they agreed to an insultingly high 9.7 percent interest rate.
Bank of New York says the Pro Bowler stopped making payments in 2010, so they want him to give up those keys and that cash. Dude signed a 4-year, $32 million deal last year, but he has mad mouths to feed—including his baby mamas.
If he could pay his pills like he knocks girls up and shuts down wide receivers, he wouldn't be in this jam.
