No one is certain if this image represents an actual threat, but the NYPD and FBI are investigating its origin. When this phony movie poster bearing the message "Al Qaeda Coming Soon Again In New York" appeared on Arab-speaking websites yesterday, the red flag immediately went up.
NYPD spokes man Paul Browne says that image has been traced to foreign soil, and the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is researching its authenticity. There's no information that suggests New York could fall victim to another terrorist attack, but the FBI still takes all precautions.
The jury is still out on whether or not this is legit or just a dick-move, but nobody is playing any games in terms of the investigation.
