Starting in April, XBLA games will have a lot of more achievements than they do now. Microsoft will be raising the limit on the number of achievements as well as the total Gamerscore allotted per game.
Last night, Xbox360achievements.com reported that Microsoft will be changing the standard achievement breakdown for XBLA games. Xbox Live's Major Nelson confirmed the coming update on his blog today.
As of now, the XBLA games have been following a specific formula for achievements: 12 achievements adding up to 200 points. The new system will allow developers to make up to 30 achievements for a total of 400 points. That's double the Gamerscore, folks.
Will the promise of more achievement points seduce you into buying more downloadable games? Let us know in the comments!
