Ticket holders in Illinois, Maryland and Kansas selected the winning numbers in the world record-breaking $640 Mega Millions jackpot early this morning. In Illinois, the winning ticket was sold in Red Bud, a small town near St. Louis. The Maryland Lottery reports that it sold a winning ticket at a 7-Eleven in Baltimore County.
The winning Kansas ticket was sold in the state's northeast region, according to the Kansas Lottery. The winning numbers were 02-04-23-38-46, and the Mega Ball 23. Each winning ticket is said to be worth $213 million, before taxes.
