Mad Men's Don Draper (Jon Hamm) lives like he has no regard for dying. Having sex with strangers whose name must be retrieved from the tag on their uniform (or worse yet, prostitutes) and drinking five martinis on a daily basis while alternately chain smoking—is he chasing death, or does he just believe he'll evade it forever?
Well, according to NY Mag's Vulture, the latter is not a possibility. They consulted actuary Jack Luff, from the Society of Actuaries, and armed with a complex breakdown of carefully recorded facts from the show, asked him to estimate when Don would finally cease to be.
The sad result? Donald Draper will die in 1985, at 59 years old. And we always thought he was somehow immortal...
