History buffs know that Adolf Hitler had American supporters. These crazies were, in fact, so crazy that they built a secret compound in the Los Angeles Hills.
American Nazis dropped $4 million ($66 million today) to construct this 55-acre ranch, which also featured a diesel power plant, 375,000 gallon concrete water tank, huge meat locker, 22 bedrooms and a bomb shelter. Needless to say, they were thinking Hitler would rule the world. That never happened.
Police raided the bunker the day after Pearl Harbor, police arrested the inhabiting fascists. Today, its ruins are covered with graffiti, and will soon be demolished in favor of a picnic area for hikers.
