We're usually quite wary of movie tie-in games, and for good reason. But we've also got good reason to believe that the iOS adaptation The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire might be an exception to that rule. It's available now, and it's free, but that's not all it has going for it.

The developers behind it comprise something of an iOS dream team. First and foremost is Adam Saltsman, the man behind Canabalt, which single-handedly spawned an entire genre of "runners." Then there's Mark Johns of Tap Tap Dance and Paul Veer of Super Crate Box. Both are great games as well in their own rights.

So running endlessly through the Hunger Games arena while you fend off tracker jackers with a bow and arrow and dodge laser fire from the Capitol might not be half bad. Plus you can play it while you're waiting for the movie's midnight release tonight. Download the game and let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
