Since opening for business on Tuesday in Los Angeles, the Sprinkles 24-hour cupcake "ATM" has been a runaway success. How popular are we talking? How about lines of up to 50 people stretched all the way down the block, even with the bakery open.
So far, the machine has been issuing an astounding 1,000 cupcakes per day, far exceding Sprinkles' expectations. There was a slight malfunction on Wednesday, however, when the machine starting burning itself out and issuing one cupcake a minute.
This idea has proven to be a profitable so far. How long until somebody tries to rob one of these?
