The Complex Mario Kart 7 Challenge went down at Complex HQ on Thursday, March 8th, with contestants and attendees kicking it in Marc Ecko’s office. The vibe at the catered affair was chill, but the competition was intense as Team Mario, led by rapper Mickey Factz, went toe to toe with Complex gaming editor Larry Hester’s Team Luigi.
The two teams faced off on the Nintendo 3DS, and after two hours of racing and smack-talking, Team Mario was crowned the victor. The members of the winning team each took home a Nintendo 3DS and a copy of Mario Kart 7, as did the lucky winners of the night’s raffle. The action was blasted out through tweets and other social posts, using hashtags #TeamMario, #TeamLuigi and Nintendo #3DS—looks like Mario might have had the edge there too. It’s never easy being the other brother.
