Back in the day, Mario and Luigi were in it together, rescuing princesses, defeating villains, eating magic mushrooms (what? they did), but then time passed on and the two brothers started to get a little competitive. In the “Mario Kart” series, now a classic in its own right, the boys go head to head in some intense auto-racing action alongside familiar characters like Bowser, Yoshi, and even Donkey Kong. Don’t let the name of the game fool you, though—Luigi is all up in this, and the rivalry is heated.
Just to add fuel to the fire, Complex will be hosting the Mario Kart 7 Challenge, which will take place tonight, March 8, from 6-8pm at Complex headquarters. A mix of staff members and friends will divide into Team Mario and Team Luigi to create the ultimate Nintendo 3DS showdown. The event will be hosted by gamer and rapper Mickey Factz and Complex gaming editor Larry Hester, and is sure to be a battle for the ages.
