As we wait patiently for the first trailer for Zack Snyder'sMan of Steel to be released—rumored to play before The Dark Knight Rises this July—the movie's Facebook account has unveiled the official logo for the film. The image itself should satisfy longtime fans of the character as well as doubters that are looking for a bit more of an edge to Superman. It retains the classic shape of the logo that Supes has worn since the '40s, but there is also a uniquely 21st century twist to it.
Man of Steel will reboot the Superman mythos and present a new take on the character's classic origin. The movie will star Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, and Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Superman's father.
