After suspending publication in 2008, New York-based urban lifestyle magazine Mass Appeal relaunched last night, beginning with its website MassAppeal.com. Under the direction of new Editor-in-Chief, Richard "Treats" Dryden, the publication promises to be "the authoritative voice of the ever-broadening urban experience" and looks to "build a big web presence," while "maintaining the heritage of the brand" with quarterly print issues.

The trend-setting magazine, which began as a graffiti destination in 1996, has a long-running relationship with Complex. Not only was Dryden a former staff writer, but Complex's current EIC Noah Callahan-Bever, Deputy Editor Brendan Frederick and Senior Editor Justin Monroe were all former editors-in-chief of Mass Appeal.
