Following the recent back and forth between Jon Hamm and Kim Kardashian (he seemingly implied her "stupidity" is being celebrated; she defended herself and said his opinion of her was "careless"), the "Mad Men" star attempted to clarify his statements at the PaleyFest last night.
"It's surprising to me that it has become remotely a story," he told E! News. "I don't know Ms. Kardashian, I'm only familiar with her as her public persona exists. What I said was more a comment on the larger pervasiveness of that attitude in our culture. It certainly wasn't meant as anything personal to somebody that I don't know. She took offense to it, that's her right. And there you have it."
