It looks like Sabre Interactive needs a little extra time before standing the third-person shooter on its head.

Namco Bandai announced today that its upcoming gravity-bending third-person shooter, Inversion, won't be in stores until June 5th. The game's initial due date, February 7th, has already come and gone, so it was only a matter of time before somebody set a new timetable.

According to Namco, the extra months will give developer Sabre Interactive "the opportunity to create an enjoyable and engaging third-person shooter experience with a comprehensive multiplayer component, including extensive competitive and co-operative modes." It's probably a smart plan, since that's what most shooter fans expect from a good game.
