"Xbox 720" Tablet Controller Rumors Keep Popping Up

Last month's rumor that the next Xbox could have a tablet-based controller was met with a surprising amount of outrage, given the rumor also claimed it would ship with a standard controller as well. Either way, this one's going to piss ya'll off even more: the tablet could be built right into the controller.

Yep, just like the Wii U. That's what Xbox World Magazine is claiming, at least (via CVG). Their "sources" say it'll have an HD screen in between the classic Xbox controls, much like the mock-up above. "That touchcreen will be second only to Kinect in how you operate your console," they claim.

They also hint that the system could cost as much as £399, or over $600. With pack-ins like Kinect 2, touch screen controllers and more, we wouldn't be surprised, though that high an admission fee probably wouldn't be good for business.
