The people behind Prometheus, the highly anticipated pseudo-prequel to Alien that marks Ridley Scott's return to sci-fi after 27 years, have unleashed a viral teaser for the film in the form of a TED talk from the future.
In the clip, Guy Pearce appears as Peter Weyland, CEO of Weyland Industries— the company responsible for sending us to the far-reaches of space where all the trouble starts.
It's the year 2023 and he's telling the story of Prometheus, the Titan of Greek legend who brought fire to mankind and was subsequently punished by having his liver torn out and eaten by eagles for all eternity.
Something tells us that Weyland doesn't learn the right lesson from this fable.
