We've got our fingers crossed for a Portal gun in "Skyrim." Seriously.

The release of Skyrim's Creation Kit on Tuesday didn't go unnoticed by Valve, due, we're sure, to the fact that that Creation Kit is pretty well implemented with Steam. Regardless, the Portal 2 devs released a fun little add-on that drops an incongruous "Space Core" into Skyrim's fantasy setting. Head here to download the mod. If you've played Portal 2 through the end, you'll recognize the little guy, who incidentally is voiced by Nolan North (Uncharted's Nathan Drake, Arkham City's Penguin, etc.).

The fun doesn't end there, though. In the video above, a PC gamer opens up the console and types "help portal", which brings up a cryptic mention of a "portal2quest". Okay, we're probably jumping the "gun" here (ha), but what could possible be a better addition Skyrim than an Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device—aka the Portal gun? The mod is even called "Fall of the Space Core, Vol. 1", implying there's more to come.

Keep your fingers crossed. Now if someone smarter than us could let us know in the comments or Twitter whether it's even possible to put a Portal gun in Skyrim, we'd be much obliged.
