The NY Giants Keep Their Cool And Nurture Relations By Playing "Words With Friends" In The Locker Room

They apparently take the game very seriously.

When it comes to locker rooms activities, we'd expect the NY Giants to be more partial to arm wrestling tournaments and headbutting practice than glorified virtual Scrabble. Of course, we'd be wrong. The Wall Street Journal has a very excellent story about the team's strange obsession with Zynga's Words With Friends. We've all been there (though we're not in the NFL).

It's a story of rivalries, triumphs, and dirty, dirty cheaters. Our favorite line is, "In a survey the Wall Street Journal conducted in the Giants locker room last month, two players named Baas the smartest Giant solely because he's a tough out in Words with Friends."

Pop over there and read the article, then let us know in the comments or on Twitter if you can figure out what any of their in-game names are so we can challenge them to a game (we'd probably lose).
