Theme Song: Rhythm Heritage "Theme From S.W.A.T."

Rhythm Heritage's breakbeat classic, which was also a Billboard No. 1 single, is one of those records that used to make b-boys go berserk up in the Bronx; it's also been used by everyone from LL Cool J to Rick Ross. As the opening salvo on S.W.A.T., the thrilling track signaled that unnerving tension and crime-related adventure were on its way to your TV screen.

The funk band achieved this using their own special weapons and tactics, namely a brilliant brass section and fuzzy guitar going full throttle, with plenty of '70s "wah-wah" and even a bit of what sounds like a nod to Psycho's infamous shower scene stabbing.
