Theme Song: Ron Granier "Dr. Who Theme"

Dr. Who's theme music is, indeed, futuristic. Written by Ron Granier and initially constructed by Delia Derbyshire in the early '60s, using advanced, unique studio methods, it comes off like the illest video game score ever recorded, although the tune predates by decades the commercially successful stand-up machines of the '80s that began incorporating thematic music into its programming. The British cult TV show, which was revived in '05, continues to utilize the amazing, ever-morphing electronic creation that, despite tweaks to its blueprint over the years, has always maintained its eerie, space age pimpin' melody.
