Capcom has good news and bad news today about the PS Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken. The good news is that the Vita version will include 12 characters that didn't make the cut for the home console version of the game. The bad news is that the Vita version won't be coming alongside the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions on March 6th.

According to the announcement on Capcom-Unity, SFxT Vita's expanded roster will add Guy, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Sakura, and Blanka from Street Fighter, and Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong from the world of Tekken. Though they aren't a part of the home console version's starting roster, don't be surprised if these characters become available as DLC in the months leading up to the Vita edition's release.

According to Capcom, the Vita edition will be coming some time "later this year". According to Andriasang, Capcom plans to release the Vita edition some time this fall. Releasing the game in the fall would make sense if the 12 Vita characters are in fact planned DLC for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Are you planning on picking up Street Fighter x Tekken in March, or are you planning to wait and play it on Vita? Let us know in the comments!
