Last week was extra special because we were seeing our man Will, aka "Willie Cologne," off to U.S. Army boot camp. You've become one of my all-time favorite NYC security guys, Willie, and I'm unsure how LPR will replace a personality like yours. Bless you, brother. Here's to seeing you—sooner rather than later—back on U.S. shores, healthy and better.

Back on another metal bird for work. At this point, as much as I could use a break from all the running around, I am sure that if I were to suddenly get an office job I'd be pulling out what's left of my hair by Tuesday morning of the first week. It's truly a blessing to travel so much, meeting so many different types of people through the gift of music. Exit row window or business class upgrade trumps cubicle yet again.

Awesome Thai dinner with my man Hakobo and his wonderful wife, Nhu, prior to beating the skin off their club SOM alongside DJ King Most and host Fran Boogie. My DJ folks who've ever been booked by these folks already know they got the Bay Area foodie game in a headlock. Some of my best West Coast dinners have been sitting across the table from these fine folks here, and with it being Hakobo's 82nd birthday (sans wheelchair), the food on this night tasted even better. Happy birthday, my mellow. You are a distinguished—old as hell—gentleman. Salute!

Enormous shout out to Jonathan Rudnick, Jeremy Sole, and Eric Tucker (aka DJ Wiseacre) for another invite to their party theLIFT. It's a party that moves from venue to venue with its own sound, lighting, and in-house production crew, which makes certain that you're gonna sound how you want to sound and feel how you want to feel as a DJ, regardless of the venue hosting the event. Tonight, we were at Los Globos, a newly renovated LA Latin music hot-spot. Fucking ridiculous. In my estimation, there were all over 600 folks in there, but then again, I drink rum and smoke my fair share of ganja which has been known to throw my abacus off at times. Regardless, the night was a stark-raving success; my hosts were at their all time best in my eyes. Production was tight, hospitality, herb supply, drink tickets, plenty of sweaty dancers who came just to break that very sweat…it doesn't get much better. Thanks Jonathan, Jeremy, and Eric. I look forward to our next time rocking together. Bless.
