BioWare's unboxing video for Mass Effect 3 has revealed a great surprise: the cover of the standard edition, which features Commander Shepard in all his generic masculine glory, is reversible. And on the other side, you'll find none other than FemShep, the commander's female alter-ego—or, for some, the real Shepard.

It all depends on how you've played the series so far, and one of the best things about Mass Effect is that your choices and characters are consistent through all three entries. So if you want to play as FemShep, now you can have her on your cover as well. Or you can just leave her peering out from behind the disc on the inside. Creepy!

Are the FemShep fans out there excited to finally see her on the cover of a ME game? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
