Microsoft has confirmed that both Kinect Star Wars and the Star Wars-Edition Xbox 360 bundle will hit stores on April 3rd, according to Shacknews. Originally set to come out last holiday season, the game was delayed until 2012 to make sure the game reached its "full potential".

Kinect Star Wars includes five gameplay modes: "Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising", "Podracing", "Rancor Rampage", "Duels of Fate" and...

"Galactic Dance-Off"!

Yes, that's right. Star Wars fans can finally "Bust a move 'solo style'" with their favorite characters while dancing to "Star Wars-themed pop tunes".

"Duels of Fate", on the other hand, pits you in one-on-one duels with some of the series' villains "on your journey to become a jedi".

The Star Wars-Edition Xbox 360, announced last summer, includes an "R2-D2" Xbox 360 console, a gold "C-3PO" controller, a white Kinect, a wired headset, Kinect Adventures, and Kinect Star Wars with some exclusive DLC. If that sounds like something you might be interested in, be prepared to pay for the privilege: The bundle will run you 449.99, quite a bit more than you'd normally spend for an Xbox 360 these days.

If you can't wait to get a taste of some motion-controlled lightsaber action, select AMC theatres will have demo stations to celebrate the opening of the 3D re-release of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace on February 10th.
