Looking to improve its products, Google is starting up a new project called Screenwise, where users can voluntarily share their search history with the company for a small payment. Except that small payment is only a $5 gift card from Amazon. And if you stay with the program, the max payout is $25. Gawker did the math and it comes out to $0.003 per hour of surveillance. Mind you, if you’ve nothing to be ashamed of—porn habits and all—then why not make enough money to buy… just about nothing.
