Two unfinished versions of the cancelled Game Boy Color port of PS1 classic Resident Evil have made their way online and into the public's greedy hands, though they didn't come cheap. The roms have been released by a collector, whose "fundraiser" over at Assembler recently reached its goal of $2,000.

We already discussed whether or not that's even legal, but hey, we're not complaining when we get to actually play the game. By the way, Game Boy Color emulators are like, the easiest thing in the world to find. Even for Mac users. So there's no excuse not to go experience this gem ASAP.

Head to the original post to download the ROMs, and let us know what you think in the comments or Twitter. Personally, we find the detail they were trying to jam into that little cartridge pretty incredible, though five minutes with the controls is enough to realize why it was cancelled. They were bad enough on the PS1.
