New BlackBerry CEO Thorstein Heins demoed the upcoming BlackBerry 10 OS today in Amsterdam, unveiling its updated BlackBerry Bridge feature as a “new user paradigm” that would unify BB phones and the Playbook 2.0.

Bridge now turns BB smartphones into remote controls for the new Playbooks—swipes on, say, the smaller touchscreen of the Bold 9790 can dictate navigation on the Playbook.

Seamless UI is BB10’s stated goal and the “BlackBerry Flow” is an app that could also help the cause. An all-in-one inbox, it collects all forms of communications—email, text, social media, etc.—in one place so a user never has to leave the app.

With Heins promising more to come, BB10 could see further updates before its mid-year release.
