YouTube Gets 4 Billion Views Daily

Mindblowing stats.

We can all agree that YouTube is probably, and by some measure, the most visited, ubiquitous site on the web. The numbers back it up.

According to Google, the site sees 4 billion views per day, a 25% increase since May. There’s also been an increase, from about 48 hours of video uploaded per minute to 60 hours per minute, over the last eight months.

It’s no wonder then that the site’s next phase will see original programming channels with the likes of Madonna, Jay-Z, and Pitchfork. After all, leveraging YouTube billions could be a lot cooler than TV millions.
