A second reboot of the "X-Com" franchise, X-Com: Enemy Unknown, was announced today as the cover feature for the February issue of Game Informer magazine. Fans of the old PC strategy series will be happy to hear that Enemy Unknown is a strategy game, unlike 2K Marin's update, which turns alien hunting into a first person shooter.

Though many of the details on the game have been held back, the gameplay will apparently switch between real-time and turn-based gameplay. the The game will also feature destructible environments and the ability to upgrade your forces.
