HBO's Game of Thrones may be months away from a premiere, but the countdown has officially begun for the follow-up to the critically-lauded first season.
If the intense glimpse the second season trailer provides is any indication, it will be worth the wait. In a little over a minute, we're given ample clues to start drawing wild conclusions at how the plot will unfold.
King Joffrey is holding Sansa Stark hostage—will he actually be cruel enough to kill his former lady love? Daenerys Targaryen is looking fierce enough to become a contender, especially considering she now has a team of tiny dragons on her side. And, Tyrion Lannister (the role Peter Dinklage recently snagged a Golden Globe for) is looking ripe for a grab at the throne, as we see him being enticed by the probably-plotting eunuch telling him that "A very small man can cast a very large shadow."
We will see if the little man has what it takes to make some big power plays on April 1st.
