Uggie Leads All Other Dogs In Golden Collar Award Nominations

As award season arrives, it seems like every carbon-based life form in Hollywood is being recognized for their performances in film, television, and the stage. And today, one of the more obscure, yet adorable, award shows ever, the Golden Collar Awards, announced its nominations. Recognizing famous pooch's from across the entire spectrum of Tinseltown, these awards are strictly for the dogs. 

According to The Wrap, the most high-profile recipient of these nominations is Uggie, the lovable mutt from such 2011 films as The Artist and Water for Elephants. He was nominated twice in the category of "Best Dog in a Theatrical Film", and will compete against Cosmo, Denver and Hummer, who were nominated for their roles in Beginners, 50/50 and Young Adult, respectively.
