Ryan Seacrest can rest assured that if he recieves a paycut on American Idol, he won't have to make any adjustments to his lifestyle - according to TMZ, series producer Nigel Lythgoe has "vowed" to pay the difference out of his own pocket in Seacrest's salary if any cuts should happen.
As of now, Seacrest makes about $15 million. Should cuts in production occur, Lythgoe doesn't want to risk losing him because he feels that Seacrest is "extremely important" to the series and doesn't know how things could work as well without him.
Because, really, the show isn't about the singing or anything like that.
