"The Expendables 2" Might Get A PG-13 Rating Because Of Chuck Norris

Is Walker going soft on us?

None

Following in the footsteps of the original, The Expendables 2 promised to be an old school action romp starring the most testosterone fueled stars of the past three decades. However, in an interview with the Polish paper Gazeta (and translated by Expendables Premiere) one of the film's stars, Chuck Norris, apparently demanded that the movie be toned down from an R rating to a PG-13 rating so it could appeal to a broader audience.

"In Expendables 2, there was a lot of vulgar dialogue in the screenplay. For this reason, many young people wouldn't be able to watch this. But I don't play in movies like this," Norris explained. "Due to that I said I won't be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased. Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be classified in the category of PG-13."

Even though he isn't the director this time around, Sylvester Stallone can't be too thrilled with this move because he set out for the Expendables franchise to be a tour de force of foul language, nudity, and excessive gore. Hopefully someone can talk some sense into Chuck Norris and his beard before he winds up turning The Expendables 3 into a cuddly CGI animated film over at Pixar.
