The Rotation VIII wasn't the first rotating cocktail table-style pinball game; that honor goes to The Valley Company's Spectra IV, which came out earlier the same year. But the Spectra was shaped like most other pinball machines, making the Rotation VIII the more unique of the two.

There's a video below of the thing in action. It's too bad this type of pinball machine never took off—we'd love to have one in our living room, and they probably cost a pretty penny now on the collector's market.
