Saying that you could have prevented 9/11, like Mark Wahlberg so boldy claimed in an interview with Men's Journal, is a slippery slope that tends to leave people rightfully agitated. So, it is without shock that we report that he has now offered an apology for his thoughtless comment.
Wahlberg issued this statement: “To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with, and to suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible. I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention.”
See, he CANNAWT express the depth of his grief! Now cut Marky Marky some slack.
