With the race for GOP candidate finally coming to a head, Republican hopeful Mitt Romney's been campaigning up a storm in an effort to maintain his lead in Iowa, where the first caucus is to be held today. This included a jab at current president Barack Obama during a campaign stop in the city Council Bluffs, where he took to comparing him to, of all people, Kim Kardashian.
"I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises," Romney told the crowd, "I think the gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen, well, since the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ‘til death do we part." Burn.
Of course, Fox News found this hilarious, a reporter on the scene pointing out that it was the "second joke [Romney's] made" on the campaign trail.
It's a pretty low blow, but we can't imagine it really hits Obama too hard - if Romney had done his homework, he'd know Obama doesn't even watch the Kardashians. Sorry dude, nice try.
