Linkedin Snooping Reveals Tentative "Thief 4" Multiplayer, Unreal Engine, Open-World Tidbits

With little to go on, we turn to speculation.

None

With no official word on Thief 4 for quite some time, a Neogaf poster decided to make all the paid gaming journalists look bad and dig up some info on his or her own. Thanks a lot, Nirolak.

Apparently quite a few Eidos Montreal employees have listed the game on their Linkedin profiles, leading to several tidbits that we may be able to glean some info from. For one thing, Thief 4 is apparently being done on the Unreal engine, rather than the Tomb Raider engine Eidos Montreal used for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Another Linkedin profile mentions "networking" and "online tools", leading to some speculation that the game would have online multiplayer of some sort. That wouldn't be surprising, though it would be the first game in the series to go beyond single player.

Yet more profiles mention "The City" and "the hub", indicating Thief 4 may be an open-world game with a hub city, a welcome innovation for the series.

Check out the post and see if there's any more info hiding in there. Next time we want to know more about a game, we'll just snoop around Linkedin for a while. Looking forward to Thief 4 despite the lack of official info? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
