At their CES press conference earlier in the week Microsoft revealed that Kinect would finally be hitting PCs. It seemed like universally good news, until they mentioned the price tag: $250, which is $100 more than the Xbox 360 version costs. Gamespot's interview with Microsoft's senior director of marketing and PR Jose Pinero reveals why.

Kinect for PC will focus more on the creative ways businesses and organizations can use the device than gaming. "We have seen during the last few months that Kinect has inspired people to do and create amazing things," he said. "Hospitals using Kinect for rehabilitation, companies using Kinect in assembly lines, organizations using Kinect to train a workforce."

He also mentions that Microsoft will definitely be present a E3. Check out the rest of the interview and then let us know your thoughts in the comments or on Twitter.
