Insomniac CEO Ted Price said that his studio "won't be making any more Resistance games" during an interview with VG247 at the Game::Business::Law Summit at Southern Methodist University today. Insomniac is content to leave their series a trilogy, opting instead to focus on new projects.

Of course, that doesn't mean that there won't be any more Resistance games. Resistance: Burning Skies, Nihilistic's PS Vita game, is still on the way.

Insomniac announced their next console title, the co-op intensive shooter Overstrike, at E3 last year. Being published by EA, Overstrike, will be Insomniac's first multi-platform game.

Price did talk a little bit about Insomniac's new social gaming division, Insomniac Click. Though he kept the studio's social gaming project a secret, Price said that the studio hopes to create social games with “deep worlds, rich stories, [and] accessible gameplay.”

Needless to say, there are big changes ahead for the makers of Resistance and Ratchet and Clank. If you're interested in reading Price's full interview, it will go up on VG247 in the next few days.
