HBO announced today that Game of Thrones will be back for a second season of plotting, bloodshed and latent supernatural activity on April 1st.

Game of Thrones, which is based on George R.R. Martin’s series of fantasy novels, will get another 10 episode season which will air on Sunday nights at 9 p.m., and will be wedged between Julia Louis-Dreyfus' political comedy Veep at 10 p.m. and the series premiere of Girls at 10:30 p.m., Lena Dunham's much-talked-about new comedy.

HBO's spring season is looking pretty tight. Now if they could only manage to squeeze How To Make It in America back on the line-up like Mark Wahlberg said they would...
