The possibility of Diablo 3 coming to consoles was one of those rumors that just wouldn't die. At long last, someone at Blizzard has finally come out and said what many have been hoping for: Diablo III will definitely be coming to consoles.
The announcement got very little fanfare: Blizzard's community manager just spilled the beans on Twitter. When asked to confirm or deny Diablo III on consoles , he said: "Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project."
Despite answering the big question, Blizzard has now left us with a whole bunch of new ones like; "When will the console version be released?" and "What platforms will the game be released on?" Hopefully more answers will be coming soon.
Despite recent rumors, Diablo III is still set for an ominous "early 2012" release.
