Conducted by the legendary John Williams, Darth Vader's "Imperial March" is one of the most memorable pieces of music ever attached to a film. Its ominous, driving percussion usually served as the precursor to an act of brutality on the part of the intergalactic war-monger and it continues to send chills through the spine of audience members to this day.
However, in a TV spot premiering during this year's Superbowl, Volkswagen has taken all of the dread out of the piece and replaced it with cuteness by having the March barked by a group of adorable dogs. This spot easily outdoes last year's commercial that featured a pint-sized Darth Vader simply because of the dog dressed as an AT-AT towards the end. Remember, this is only a teaser so there is much more to be seen on game day.
