BitTorrent Launches Personal File Sharing Service

And it's legal.

None

The Internet does not want for file-sharing services, but that didn't stop the team at BitTorrent from creating another one. Dubbed "Share", the service allows users to transfer files of any size to an unlimited number of contacts. For free.

Currently in Alpha, Share stores the files being transferred temporarily in the cloud so that users can download them even if the sender has gone offline. To do this Share utilizes Amazon's EC2 and S3 cloud services. Once the file is downloaded by the recipient, it is taken off the server.

To use the service users will need to download the Share app. It's currently only available for Windows, but Mac users can download the company's uTorrent program which will offer Share functionality.

Head over to the Share website to learn more and download the program.
